|Pattern Description: |
Loose-fitting, lined skirt has elasticized waist and shaped hemline (wrong side shows), and narrow hem. C and D: elasticized tie ends, and ruffle.
Sized for small-medium-large, etc. I made a medium.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions appeared to be easy to follow. Most of the relatively complicated steps like the french seams I did not follow, because I was not using a sheer fabric. The seams show a little where the back is lower than the front, but it is only slight, and I serged them so they look pretty.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like how fast and easy it is and I like the style, but I do not think the elastic/drawstring waist is the most flattering.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I did not make french seams, just regular serged ones. I also did not make two short bias tubes and attach them to either end of a piece of elastic, like the pattern instructs. I made a long bias tube, and ran both the elastic, and the drawstring through the casing. I did this partially because I did not read the instructions carefully enough before making my bias tube, and partially for practicality's sake.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would recommend it for others, especially beginners. However, I don't think I will make it again.
