|Pattern Description: |
Misses' sheath dress with peplum option, and sleeve and neckline variations.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I'm happy to say it did!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked the peplum and tab details. I was a bit concerned this pattern view would be too young looking for me, but I'm glad I decided to go with my first choice.
I used a red linen print fabric.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I decided to go with french seams on this project. As I did not add any lining, I thought this was the best alternative for my fabric choice. I also shortened the pattern to suit my height.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I think I will try this dress without the peplum and tab details; maybe in a tartan.
I recommend this pattern.
I agree with CissieW's comment that Kate Middleton's influence on fashion has brought touches such as the peplum back in vogue, and I for one am loving it!
