Misses' semi-fitted pullover peasant-inspired dress, has flutter sleeves with elastic shoulders and square neckline, is A-line with side slits or is slightly flared with shaped hem flounces.
I sewed dress A, with flounce hem and asymmetrical seam.
(6-8-10), (12-14-16), (18-20-22)
I sewed in size 10 and 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, they are similar in both cases, but my dresses are a little longer.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were easy to understand.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the overall look of the dress. The pieces were very simple to put together. The flared sleeves and the flounces have a narrow hem and are very flattering. I like the elastic casing at the upper edge of the sleeves and the self bias binding at neckline.
I have no dislikes.
Polyester Crepe for both dresses.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I omitted the front tie knot and added back tie ends.
I lengthened the dresses by adding 1 1/4" to the length of the flounces.
The dresses were sewn in size 12, with side seams being 10 from the underarms to the waist.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I do not plan to make another one in the near future. I have already sewn four and I am very pleased with the results.
I love the style of the dress and I would recommend it to everyone. The dresses were fun and pleasant to construct.
Very nice and easy to sew peasant style dresss. Very comfortable also.
