"The Cabarita Top is a perfectly polished summer knit top with its V back and front rolled collar, designer stripe guides, breezy cut-on sleeves and options for longer and shorter sleeve lengths." Pattern Sizing:
30-55 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
They are brief, as stated on the website. I puzzled over how to attach the collar. I also stitched the side seams before attaching the sleeve bindings. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the design of the top. I am very pleased with how easy it was and how cute the top is. I love how you customize your fit. The guidelines on how to do this are clear and accurate. Fabric Used:
Cotton lycra knit from Girl Charlee. It has a slight 4 way stretch which really helped the top fit my upper back better. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I cut out what I thought was the sleeve binding for size 30, short sleeves but that turned out to be too short. I used the binding for size 30L. I sewed the CB and side seams between 3/8" and 1/4" to give me more room in the shoulder/upper back area. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I have sewed this 3 times (with ponte knit and interlock fabrics) to get the fit right. Both fabrics did not have enough stretch, in retrospect. I don't think I will sew more for this reason. But, I do love this top and would recommend it to others. Conclusion:
Cute, easy, versatile top!
