|Pattern Description: Lined Apron, made view C in size M (it is a gift for a friend).|
Pattern Sizing: M, it seems a bit big, I'm usually a size XL or 22-24 on patterns and it fit me ok
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked that it was very straight forward, the easiest pattern I've made in a long time (that's saying a lot; I'm a very beginner sewer). It looks complex, but it's not and it has a nice shape. I disliked slipstitching (but it makes it look good). A bonus is that, if you sew neatly on the inside, the apron appears reversible!
Fabric Used: Cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The pocket needs to be sewn all around the "u" part, the directions don't say that but it was easy enough to figure out; also no where besides the directions toward the end does it indicate you need 2 skirt pieces (I think it's piece 16). I realized after I finished that different fabric combos can be used on the inside part to make a different reversible apron.
Would you sew it again? Absolutely, yes, yes, yes, yes. It looks better made than it does on the envelope.
Would you recommend it to others? Yes!!
Conclusion: I really like this I'm going to make a bunch for me & gifts, it's my favorite apron.
I highly recommend it to a beginner sewer. Cutting time it took me 1.5 hours and sewing time it took 2.5 hours. It didn't have a lot of 1/4 seam presses or funky meticulous little parts.
It would have taken me less time to sew. Because I made it as a gift I traced size M pattern pieces so I could keep making other sizes. I also would have saved time had the directions indicated I needed 2 skirt pieces (i learned that when I was in the sewing phase of it ).
