|The pattern features slant front pockets, with a front + back waist dart and fly front closure.|
I've made this pattern previously and found the construction to be quite easy. The instructions given in the magazine are easy to follow, though, there are no diagrams so a beginner might need more explanation in terms of visuals.
These pants were made from a wool gabardine that has been in my stash for XXX years, and have also lined the pants, also with stash fabric.
I made a couple of design alterations to the pattern. Firstly, the pants were lined mostly to prevent any prickling from the wool fabric, and secondly, welt pockets were inserted in the back to give a different look.
I made my usual pants fit alterations - sway back, shorten crotch depth, increase hip width.
These pants are a welcome addition to my winter wardrobe.
