|Pattern Description: |
Halter dress with front ruffle.
6-16. I made a twelve, which is similar to a big 4 size 14, or a Burda Style 40.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes. They were very brief and to the point, but well written. Also, images were included. I think they were much better than Burda magazine instructions, and I liked them better than big 4 instructions for there simplicity.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like that it is a simple easy to make dress. The front ruffle adds a little something special, and it is light and airy for summer.
I don't love how low it is in the back, but I planned to wear it with a top underneath anyway, so it really doesn't matter too much. Also this could probably be fixed by using a shorter piece of elastic.
A printed cotton given to me by my aunt. Does not seem to be a quilting cotton as it has a little better drape, and not as wrinkle prone.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I might sew it again someday. I would recommend it.
A simple summer dress that is easy to make and comfortable to wear.
