|Pattern Description: Sleeveless dress|
Pattern Sizing: Size 14
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Close
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the back of the dress. The skirt does not stick out on it's own, the model is holding the skirt out on the pattern envelope.
Fabric Used:Lace and I think Rayon.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made this dress for my 22 year old daughter. I used lace over a rayon. I followed the pattern directions till I got to the zipper. They wanted me to attach the zipper to just the lace layer. The only problem was, the lace stretched and the underlining of the bodice did not match up to the lace top. I sewed the lace bodice to the underlining bodice and then inserted the zipper to the two layers, perfect. I also moved the "whole" in the upper back up so the back of the bra would not show. After putting the whole dress together I realized the dress was too big in the back, so I handstitch the back of the dress to make it fit. The "circle" in the back is now an oval. The dress has one side pocket.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I plan on making it again in a cotton for a casual look.
This is great dress. Once I adjust the pattern so it fits better in the back, I will make it again.
