|Pattern Description: |
ANN T-TOP: This fashionable t-shirt hides a multitude of sins with side rouching, make it with long or short sleeves.
I made a size 18 - it was the best choice using their measurements.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, although the rouching isn't as noticeable. Might be the pattern on my fabric.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes - they are minimal as with all of StyleArc's instructions, but this is a pretty simple t-shirt.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Well, I certainly liked the idea of it. But I think I should have gone down at least one size, if not 2. It's definitely way bigger than I normally like to wear my t-shirts.
A cotton Jersey that I bought from gorgeous fabrics I think.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made none, but if I ever try it again, I will certainly have to grade it down a size or two. As you can see from the pic, the neck is too big... harder to see is that it's big on me everywhere. Maybe the print is part of the problem - I don't know. I have enough to make another tshirt, so I may try again with a different style.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I don't know if I will sew it again. If I learn how to grade down, I may try it. I think I need more adjustments than just a size smaller though.
As for recommending to others - if you fit in SytleArc's tops well, then this one will work for you too.
Overall, I like the style of the Ann T-top, but things just didn't work out for this.
