Pattern Description: Men's Shirt with long sleeves or sleeveless, I have made it with short sleeves by changing the long sleeve into short sleeves.
Pattern Sizing: 38 - 48
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? No as there is not a short sleeve verion.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, for Burda.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is my TNT shirt pattern for my DH, I try to make him a new one every year although I don't think that that happened last year.
Fabric Used: A lovely quality cotton from Fine Wools Direct (now closed) and I have only 1 piece left.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I changed the long sleeves into short sleeves, I have added pocket flaps (I cpoied from RTW) to the pockets, he just has to have them. Also the pocket is very large so I have reduced the width of the pocket.
For the hem of the sleeve (allow 2inches for the hem) I folded it up 1 inch and then folded it up again, then I stitched arond the bottom folded edge 3/8 inch from the fold and the raw edges are enclosed. Press the bottom fold towards the top of the sleeve and you have a lovely sleeve hem no hand stitching required.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and Yes
