Sorry I look so unhappy in my picture - it one of the few pictures in focus that shows the whole dress!
Close-fitting, pullover dress has self neck binding, tiers, and raw edge finish. A: sleeves. B: self armhole binding
6-14. I cut a 12 and took it in a little on the sides as I wanted it to be more fitted than loose.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes! Although I messed up and sewed the first shingle to the wrong sewing line and had to spend 30 minutes picking all the stitches. This was a HUGE pain so made sure you know where everything goes before sewing Despite my blunder, I still finished it in one evening.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This pattern is just lovely. It is SO comfortable and chic and dressy yet casual all at the same time.
A cotton spandex striped knit from Girl Charlee which they don't appear to have anymore which is a shame because I really like this fabric.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
As others suggested I didn't sew on the bottom shingle since the base layer shows through. For others this was probably the right decision, but my fabric is relatively thin and I probably should have included the bottom shingle to give the dress more stability since it stretches out while walking.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
YES and YES. I think it would be flattering on all body types and all ages! Great design in the stripes or solid!
Wonderful pattern, quick and easy to sew. More on my blog.
