|Pattern Description: |
Misses’ yoked skirts. Knit A, B, C are flared in maxi length or with hi-low hem or straight in knee length with ruching. Woven D, E with bias cut yoke and elastic waist are gathered in maxi or above knee length.
8-22, I made 16/18
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Almost exactly, except I made the skirt 14 1/2" inches shorter than view B, the long version.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy. I made two dresses and didn't have to follow them the second time. Perfect for beginners!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved how easy it was and how I could whip together a couple skirts in an afternoon.
I made two versions: ITY knit and Rayon jersey. Want to try a silk knit as well as more in other prints.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
When sewing with the rayon jersey, I cut out a size 16. When sewing with the ITY knit, I cut out a size 18. The rayon jersey had more stretch, but was lighter weight, therefore seemed to stretch a lot and after wearing for a long period of time might have felt like it would fall down!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Great pattern for beginners, wardrobe building and more!
