|This is a multisize basic t-shirt style pattern. It has a scoop neck with 3/4 sleeves. |
We are planning a skiing trip soon and I needed some new wickaway/thermal tops to wear . I don't like polo necks, so this seemed like the perfect solution.
The instructions are fairly basic, but once you know how to assemble a t-shirt, they aren't all that essential.
The fabric was a wickaway from Rockywoods, purchased around 2011. There was enough fabric for 2 tops so I made, one 3/4 sleeve and the other with a full length sleeve. The only alteration I made to the pattern was to narrow the shoulder and lengthen the sleeve to give the full length sleeve. The body length is good.
The 3/4 sleeve top is finished with white FOE, the second top has a double neck band finish.
My machine didn't like a normal ballpoint needle so I used a stretch 70/11 needle which worked well. The tops are stitched then the seams finished with the overlocker.
