|Pattern Description: |
Dress with scooped neckline has back zipper, bodice front seam interest, an A line skirt with soft pleats and a self tie belt. V. 1 is ankle length and has short set in sleeves. Regular length. V. 2 is sleeveless. Lined jacket V. 2 has flaps, front seam interest, an Italian type collar and below elbow length set in sleeves.
My pattern was a size 38 bust so I re-sized it to a 34 bust. In the end I took out 4 inches from the bust, 2 inches from the waist and nothing from the hips. I think the fit ended up perfect, but because of the re-sizing the back bodice darts did not match up with the back skirt darts. I thought about taking it apart and moving the skirt dart over but decided to just leave it. For now anyway.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the bodice. The seaming is interesting and I like the shape it creates. The sleeves are the perfect length and I especially love the scoop neckline.
Vintage double knit polyester
