|Pattern Description: Misses Tops with variations.|
Pattern Sizing: Size 8-16. I made the size 16.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love how easy it was to make. I think I would make a bit longer, I think it needed an inch or 2 added to the length.
Fabric Used: I made 2 in Cotton Calico that I bought last year for different projects but never used. Instead I decided to make this top in View C and View D.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
In view D I used rickrack for the trim. I also used it on the front facing instead of the embroidery stitches it called for. I also added it to the sleeves.
In view C I didn't add the trim and stitching to the neckline. I don't think it was needed on this bright fabric. It would be too busy.
Also I couldn't get the tubes for the neck ties to turn so I made it more like 1/4" double fold bias tape and then stitched the layers together. You get the same thing but it looks a bit differently.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. I want to sew it in a fabric with more drape. I will be adding more length.
Conclusion: Really great and easy pattern.
