Pattern Description: Sewing and Knitting Tote and Accessories. I made the Knitting Needle and Crochet Hook Case.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I wish I had top-stitched the edge, before I sewed down the top flap. After you sew that down you can't really top-stitch the edge. The pattern doesn't call for the top-stitching but I think it would look nicer if I had added it.
Fabric Used: Cotton. I was given this fabric 4 years ago and it's been sitting in my stash without even being noticed. The Fabric Stash contest made we go through everything and I found this fabric and thought it was perfect for this project.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Instead of using a ribbon I made ties using my 1" bias tape maker and folding the tape in half. I cut the fabric strip on grain rather than on the bias.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I want to sew other items in the pattern but I don't think I would sew another needle case because I don't foresee needing another one. Maybe as a gift. It was easy to make I did it in 45 minutes (not counting cutting time).
Conclusion: It is exactly what I needed and it was quick and easy to make.
