Pattern Description: New Look Workroom from Project Runway misses’ kimono style cover up with drawstring or wrap and tie belt.
Pattern Sizing: xs small to XL extra large
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? I did not follow the instructions. Sheila CTZ made the blouse and posted a review. I followed Sheila's technique.
If I use Polyester Chiffon again, I will add stay tape to stabilize the neck, add bias binding to the neck and the front to encase the seams, and to sew the shoulder seams using French seams. I use the serger to finish the seam; the serger stiches were too heavy in my opinion.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? No dislike.
Fabric Used: Polyester Chiffon
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None; however the pattern runs big, I made a large. I will go down a size on the next one.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes,. I am planning to make a couple for my daughters and myself.
Conclusion: This is a great pattern that is perfect for all skills level from beginner to advance. You can sew it with very basic technique or you can sew it with a few advance techniques. No matter which technique you choose you will have an awesome top.
