|Pattern Description: |
Knit tops in varying styles.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, but really silly instructions for the neckband. Do not follow the directions and attach interfacing to the neck band. No need to do that, as you need the neck band to remain stretchy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Other than those interfacing directions, I don't dislike anything. I like that it has many different styles, and I plan to make one with the band.
It's mostly cotton, but it's rather heavy, so I am sure it has some lycra in it. It's just opaque enough to not have to wear a cami underneath, but it does have a tendency to show the lumps and bumps, so I'm glad I made it a bit larger. Next time I'll use a lighter knit. I could still ruche the side seams as shown in one picture, and that may eliminate the slight maternity look that's going on. It only looks that way from the front, not the side at all. So I guess I should be grateful for the heaviness of the fabric.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I cut a small in the shoulders and neck, but added an inch to the entire back only for a forward shoulder adjustment, and went out to a L everywhere else. I'm usually an XL in patterns.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, just watch the sizing, as it does run large.
I like the way it looks, and so does DD. She wants one too! However, I never seem to get a good photo.
