Karla Kizer said... Looks like the perfect blouse for welcoming (?) Daylight Savings Time - summery colors that are right in style this year. You did a great job, especially considering the monumental alterations you have to make on most patterns. The collar might seem a bit larger than we're used to, but I like it; instead of looking out-of-date, it seems new and interesting. I think you'll enjoy wearing this one. 4/2/05 8:05 PM

Skymom said... I have this pattern, purchased probably around 1999! THe only thing I've made is the sleeveless pullover top, and I like that a lot--also nicely shaped for a basic shell. Thanks for the review of the blouse; I love yours in the floral print, and am thinking it might be nice to pull out a flowered cotton lawn I have stashed somewhere for this. As for the skirt, I never even noticed the waistband is elastic. I'm going to check that out. With full skirts right on the top of every "must have" list this season, I could make good use of this, esp. in the shorter length. Enjoy your blouse! 4/3/05 7:31 PM
Hilary said... LOL-This looks quite conservative to me (definitely not too colorful, but pretty and summery-not loud at all). I think this turned out pretty, and the collar looks a little big but aren't bigger lapels common these days? I like it. I don't really know, I don't get out much :oP I'm glad I'm not the only one with patterns this old in my stash-thanks for the review! 4/4/05 11:39 AM
