Misses' back zippered dress with slightly flared skirt stitched to a fitted bodice at raised waistline seam, has V-neck and princess seams at front bodice, is sleeveless or short-sleeved with an optional neck flounce.
I made view B, the sleeveless dress with a collar/neck flounce.
I sewed size 12 and gave more flare to the skirt.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, both dresses look like the drawing, excepted that mine are a little shorter and have a lace trim at the front V-neck.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the collar flounce and the princess seamed bodice front.
However, the front V-neckline is a little low and the armholes a little wide for my liking.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
For a more fitting shape, I took in 1" on both underarm seams.
The front neck has a lace inset.
I did not line the dresses as called for. The neckline and armholes were finished with shaped facings.
Both dresses were shortened by 9" at hemline and Dress #2 has back tie ends.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I plan sewing more of this pattern with some changes to be made to the bodice front. I would recommend this pattern to everyone who likes the style of the dress.
