|Pattern Description: |
Misses' dress and culotte dress/jumpsuit in two lengths, has a front buttoned V-neck bodice with short kimono sleeves, elastic seamed waist and front self ties.
I sewed view C, the short jumpsuit/culotte dress.
KK(8-10-12-14), PP(12-14-16-18), UU(16-18-20-22), ZZ(20-22-24-26)
I used size 10 and 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, both culotte dresses look like the drawing, but mine are a little longer.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were very simple to understand.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like several things about this pattern: the culotte skirt, the kimono sleeves, the V-neck, the front buttoned closing and the partially elasticized drawstring.
I have no dislikes.
Culotte dress #1: Cotton.
Culotte dress #2: Linen Rayon blend.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Jumpsuit #1 was sewn in size 12 with shoulder seams being 10.
Slipstitching instead of topstitching was used to help the front and back facings to stay in place.
Culotte skirt was shortened by 2 1/2" and pockets were added to the side seams.
Jumpsuit #2 was also made in size 12 with shoulders cut in 10. It has a V-neck raised by 1/2", pockets in the side seams and stitched hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I do not plan to make more of it, but I would like to give a try to the dress coming with this pattern. As it is not easy and fast to put on and to pull out, I would not recommend this jumpsuit to everyone.
Great jumpsuit/culotte dress pattern with nice results and no fit issues.
