Pattern Description: This is a small drawstring bag ideal for holding a small knitting projects: think socks or dishcloths.
Pattern Sizing: The finished bag has a 4 inch square bottom and is 7 inches high.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Very much.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very nice instructions. She explains how to make it reversible. She has a nice chatty tone in the instructions (that is not annoying!) but still detailed enough for a beginner.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The square/reinforced bottom is simple but works remarkably well to lend stability.
Fabric Used:Quilting cotton - in the case fat quarters from Keepsake Quilting.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Her cutting measurements are 9.25x10 inches. I cut mine 9.5 just to make my life easier. She sews with a 5/8 SA and I used 1/4. Because I used 1/4" SA, I did not have to trim my corners.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I've made many of these and always meant to review and recommend it. The fabric stash contest inspired me to finally do the review.
