|Pattern Description: Men's and Boys' shirt, shorts, and hat|
Pattern Sizing:s-l/s-xl (boy sizes first, then men's sizes)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yes it did look like the drawing - and the picture
Were the instructions easy to follow?I think they were very easy to follow - other similar patterns had odd steps/steps out of logical order....this one didn't
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?1) My DH loves loose Hawai'ian shirts, and this was a nice one in that I could have made one for my son as well, 2) I like the fact that the pattern has an option for cargo shorts in addition to the shirts
Fabric Used:well aged green-tone Hawaiian/tropical print in a mid-weight cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:none
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? If I can find another fabric that my husband likes, I will most definitely be making this pattern again. My son has said he'd like one, but he doesn't like the "traditional" fabrics, so his will more than likely be made from superhero themed fabric. :-D
I definitely recommend this pattern. The directions are in a logical order (see above), and the pattern is easy to put together (providing you have free time, which is why it took me nearly a week to get this finished). There is another shirt option, but I am not a fan of half the pattern of a shirt going 90 degrees to the other half, but that's just me. I think having a pattern that you can basically use to make a summer/vacation wardrobe from - particularly for men and boys is an awesome addition to the pattern stash!
Conclusion: Very nice male wardrobe pattern for a summer or beach vacation. Love the fact that it includes sizes for both boys and men.....great for those that make matching outfits, or even for those that don't! Definitely one that I will be keeping around since both my guys like the loose shirts.
