|Pattern Description: |
Mid-calf dress has close-fitting, self-lined bodice with side front and back seams, flared skirt with side pockets, back pleats and zipper.Bodice back extends into tie ends.
Pattern Sizing: I made a size 12, but ended up taking about 2 inches below the bust.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, extremely similar.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The bust apex insertion was not easy to understand at first reading, but after reading other reviews, everything was perfectly clear.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the bow detail and kimono sleeve.
Fabric Used: I used a medium weight cotton with a bit of stretch.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Since I used a heavier cotton, I decided not to line the bodice and use facings. I eliminated the front seams on skirt and bodice and then I took out 1 inch form the bodice length and 6 inches from the skirt.
The zipper is handpicked, I did this for the first time and it looks great
I didn't get to make a matching belt, but I intend to.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
It's a lovely dress and I plan to make the version with the button closure too.
