|Pattern Description: |
The stylish alternative to a basic t-shirt or sweater. A high scooped front hem, & low curved back hem combine to create an incredibly flattering silhouette & comfortable fit. Pattern comes with a cropped version, a full length version, two different neckline finishes, three sleeve lengths, & two different patch pockets.
XS to XL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
A bit like the envelope, I used a woven instead of a knit, so several changes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn't follow the instructions as this was a jumping off point for my shirt.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked the shape and style
Mood Fabrics' Crepe de Chine silk
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I used the pattern for the front and back but the back had some changes. I cut a back yoke and then the lower back was cut into two sections. I added a center button placket, I thought I would need this to help get on the shirt but in the end it is only decorative
see back here
My back was inspired by this Datura Blouse which is on the way to me.
Next change was the sleeves, I was a bit nervous about a knit drafted sleeve working for my woven shirt, so I ordered Grainline's Scout Woven Tee and used those sleeves.
The neckline is self-fabric bias
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I am going to sew it again, in a white knit this time. I highly recommend this pattern it is a nice variation on a tshirt with several options.
I am thrilled with my top, it is loose but not too loose and the fabric is incredible.
