Various tops, dresses. I made view A, the sleeveless version.
I can't give a good assessment of sizing. I just took a stab and made a small. It seemed to fit her well.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, especially since I used striped interlock.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I wanted to make a top for the teacher of our ESL program. I am her helper, and now she and her husband will be moving to the west coast for a new job for him. I wanted top make her something simple but fashion-forward.
I used interlock knits. the black striped had a lacy looking white stripe and was a bit sheer. The other stripe has a metallic gold stripe and is heavier, not see-through.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Out of necessity (not enough fabric) I had to make the black striped 2" shorter. I eliminated the top stitching on both.
I applied clear elastic at the shoulder using a teflon foot. I wanted to prevent the seam sagging.
It was a challenge to match stripes as the stripes were not perpendicular or 45%. I think they turned out OK, though.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I plan to make a couple of these for myself. They went together very quickly and looked very nice. I would definitely recommend.
