1930s Style Pajama Top
UK 10/12; 34-36" bust
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Not exactly, no.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, very easy instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I think it's a great basic top pattern. I like the gathers at the bust and I love the tucks in the back, but I had some fitting issues (probably my fault for not observing the seam allowance) that made it too tight in the back and too loose in the front.
Satin for the front and the sleeves and lace for everything else - I ran out of satin!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Because I sewed it incorrectly, it's much tighter. I would love to have it a bit looser, and I'll probably sew some lace inserts into to it to make it a bit more comfy.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I would, I'm thinking of doing another version in jersey.
I think this is a great top, and I can't wait to make another one.
