|Pattern Description: Tunic and dress, fitted through bust, have side seam pockets. A/B, C, D cup sizes.|
I made the tunic, view A in size M, but had to take it in with shirring.
Pattern Sizing: XS-XXL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? yes, very.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? simple to make, but has features making it more unique than just a basic tank.
Fabric Used: cotton lawn, from the Lisette collection at JoAnn fabrics (great fabric, highly recommend!).
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I followed pattern instructions for almost all of it, except I omitted a zipper and instead shirred the back with some elastic thread to make it a little more fitted around the waistline. (Because if I had just taken in the side seams I probably couldn't have gotten it on and off since it's cotton lawn fabric - i.e. no "give".) And I just serged the bottom instead of a fold hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? yes, I would. I don't have any plans to just because I have so many others to try for now, but it's a great summer top that could be made in a different fabric to give my closet some variety.
Conclusion: great tunic pattern! I have worn this top many times, and it's perfect for summer.
