Skirt, jacket top and dress Pattern Sizing:
6 - 14 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes but I cut it shorter because I am short Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It only has a few pattern pieces and I have made it before Fabric Used:
Cotton. I am so sorry, People. Just because it's on sale at John Lewis does NOT mean you have to buy it and make it into a skirt. It is an insane design which no-one should be allowed to wear. Why would anyone even own that? I don't know what came over me and I profoundly apologise but it's done now. Too late. How I am going to find something to wear on the top I do not know. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None but it is probably a bit shorter than the one in the picture. But then, how tall is that model? She must be at least 7 feet tall. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Of course I would. This is already my third one and I really feel I am getting the hang of it now. This is my first overlocked project and it has made a huge difference to the care I take in it all. I am trying to build up my confidence so that I can branch out - i.e. away from V8916 View D. I have three skirts now and I really wish I could get into tops or jackets or dresses so that I can have entire outfits. Conclusion:
Superb project for a beginner and the pattern would be excellent value for money, particularly when Vogue has its sale days, for someone who is brave enough to make more than just one view of the four/five.
