|Pattern Description: From the pattern envelope: Use this handy organizer next to your sewing machine, on your desk, or in the bathroom to keep everything at your fingertips. Pop the long size into a purse or tote and you're ready to go! |
Pattern Sizing: 6" x 6" x 5-1/2" high and 4" x 12" x 5-1/2" high
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, except for the different fabrics, of course.
Were the instructions easy to follow? They were easy to follow and were well illustrated. There were a couple of typos and I think she forgot to mention that the sections of the inside pockets should be topstitched and this omission might make things confusing for a beginner.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the versatility of these organizers – sewing room, desk, bath, etc.
Fabric Used: Quilting weight cotton from my stash. The black outer fabric is from Provence in France.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will surely be sewing this again. I would recommend it to others but perhaps not beginning beginners. The added up layers of fabric and the turning of the corners might be a little too fiddly (and frustrating) for someone without much experience.
Conclusion: This is a well-designed, practical little pocket. It would be fun to sew as a gift and fill with small items that correspond to the recipient's hobby or interests.
