XS-XL - regular sizes
Would I recommend this?
Yes! I find that Kwik Sew patterns always do unless I make a design change
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very.
What did you like about it?
I love this pattern and would highly recommend it to anyone because it is perfectly made and all the notches match which is essential to me as a sewer and former pattern maker.
What fabric did you use?
I used a natural color, lightweight stretch twill that I ombre dyed using Pomegranate Juice Stix from Trader Joe's - Hence the name, Juicy Jeans. Prior to dyeing the fabric I made a design with a white crayon and pressed it into the fabric so when the color was added the wax created a negative design. I did make a tutorial of this on my blog if you are interested at http://dawnabbeydesigns.wordpress.com/
Design and Pattern changes?
I added some embroidery at the one of the back pockets and on the coin pocket. I changed the side seam allowance which is 5/8" to 3/4" since I have a flat fell foot and I needed that much to do the stich with my machine. I also embroidered small "eyelets" in place of rivets for style.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Conclusion: This is my favorite of three jeans patterns that I own. Despite the fact that the twill I used was stretch, there was not enough give in the fabric to make 3315 by Kwik Sew so I made it from the woven pattern. I am really pleased with how these came out.
