Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I did not follow the instructions
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
When I received the magazine, I was taken by the feminine and summer look of the dress. Besides, possible modifications to this dress are endless!
Both the dress and the lining are made of silk habutai
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I drafted a princess seam back, consisting of 4 panels. This was I feel less "naked" but also my straps don't slip down. I also attached the cups to the lining from the inside in order to avoid wearing a bra. It does not show through, nor does it feel uncomfortable! I absolutely love it!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
With a long list of sewing projects, I cannot say for sure that I will sew it again. But I definitely recommend it as a great wardrobe builder for those who love to wear light and open summer dresses.
I think this dress can be nice in different fabric. If you check BurdaStyle website you'll see many creative ways of sewing with this pattern!
