|Pattern Description: This is a pattern for shaped raglan-sleeve (baseball jersey) tee shirt or racer-back tank top. Two length variations. |
Pattern Sizing: Jalie gives the full range from child to adult sizes.
I made two of these, one for me (size AA) and one for my daughter (size U).
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The shape of these are nice and look like ready-to-wear tees. I've also made the racerback tank.
Fabric Used: A wicking polyester jersey from my stash, ordered on sale from Seattle fabrics.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I constructed everything on the serger (except the zigzag hem) and attached the band in one step on the serger. For my daughter's version, I omitted the neck band and just serged and topstitched the neck. This looks fine too. I didn't add the pockets.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Absolutely. The long makes a good nightie.
Conclusion: This is a good rendition of the classic raglan tee, shapely for women. Easy, looks professional.
