Donna Karan Vogue dress Pattern Sizing:
I made the size 10 from the pattern Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
More or less - the band on the front of the model looks more twisted than the dress that I made, but my dress looks good enough! Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, but I made a few alterations along the way; I had no idea what they wanted me to do with the back neck band, so made up my own bias binding. I found the elastic instructions confusing so gave up on those and just did what I thought was right. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
No particular dislikes. Fabric Used:
Cheap jersey fabric (the fabric cost less than the pattern!). Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Even before I cut the fabic I could see that the sleeves would be way too short for me so I added about 5cm. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, but perhaps with a less heavy jersey. I'd omit the elastic in the back when made again. Conclusion:
An everyday dress for work!
