When i first saw the pattern, i had to have it immediately. I love the cut out back and was even more excited when i realised it had a side pocket too. I made the dress using Tulle (in nude colour) with a cotton silk underlay. I was bit hesitant working with Tulle, but the pattern was relatively easy to follow and gave clear instructions on how to overlay. The dress didn't take that long to make, it looks great, and i would definitely make it again.
My only issue with the pattern is the fit. I made my dress in a size 12 and altered it before i started sewing. However i still had great difficulty getting the skirt to lie flat on my back. It kept drooping /sagging , tried taking it in on the side seams but that only helped a little. So if you decide to make the pattern i would recommend that you try the skirt on before attaching it to the bodice and alter it to fit-otherwise it will definitely sag...
The other issue i had with the dress is with fastening the bodice back. The pattern recommends you use a hook and eye closure , but for me the back kept opening up... Somehow the hook kept getting loose e.g. when bent forward or moved my back too much. So i decided to put a button instead- i would recommend you do the same-its more secure and it can enhance the look of the dress.
