We will guide you through the – not as hard as you think – process of installing a zipper and making those adorable pockets. The dress/tunic includes special pleated shoulders that give a feminine touch. The leggins go together in a snap and before you know it you have an outfit."
Pattern Sizing: 18mth to 8/9. I made the 4/5 with the length of the 6/7 for my very petite 6.5 year old.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were good and included diagrams. There is a online tutorial to further assist with the construction of the pockets.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's all likes. The pockets are awesome, although my daughter declares them to be too shallow. I think the overlapping shoulders and the pleated sleeves are super cute.
Fabric Used: Japanese Cotton from Tessuti
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made the size 4/5 with the length of the 6/7. The sleeves were shortened by 3/4 inch.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I do recommend this pattern. My daughter is super pleased with this dress, I expect there will be orders for at least one more.
Conclusion: I love this dress. So many cute features - the pockets, the shoulder detail and the pleated sleeves.
