Draped asymmetrical blouse with a contrasting leather tie
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I think so... front side back
Were the instructions easy to follow?
They were ok. I'm french and I learned how to sew with burda patterns so I never thought they were specially bad. Having used Big 4 patterns later, I realized that they could be lacking details and illustrations for people who are not used to them. leather tie
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This one of these patterns that makes you hesitate because you don't know if it's going to be very nice or very bad... I really like the result, my only caveat would be the little pocket, I wish it kept its shape a little better. I would recommend interfacing it for that purpose.
Silk charmeuse from Paron in NYC.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The only change was an accident. Instead of making the neck band in the shiny part of charmeuse I cut it on the wrong side of the fabric and it's matte. Since it's asymmetrical I should have recut the front and back piece but I decided it was OK like this... matte neckband
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I cannot say I would definitely sew it again because the style is quite specific but I definitely recommend it!
Nice pattern and I like the result. It's a shame that it took me so long to complete it. You can read more about all this and see many more pictures on my blog!
