Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
The pattern envelope shows lots of variations on the pattern, so yes, this bag resembles one of the variations shown.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I was fortunate to have a lovely day at Nikki's "bag in a day" workshop, so received the very detailed printed instructions, and also had the one on one help, with demonstrations by Nikki of all the different steps along the way. The instructions are very good though, with lots of tips if you are a beginner sewist (or a beginner bag-sewist) like me.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The various options for changing the look of the bag mean you can potentially make a whole lot of different bags with the one patterns.
I bought some remnants of Marrimekko fabric while I was in Sweden recently, so this is one small remnant, lined with a bit of ordinary cotton. The bag hardware bought at Nikki's shop.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I might sew another. The bag itself is a little smaller than I would normally use. I'm more likely to sew another one of Nikki's bags (I've already bought another pattern).
The workshop was good fun. I learnt some new things and have a pretty little bag.
