This is a new Katherine Tilton knit top pattern. I made Version B with a few variations
Pattern Sizing: The size seemed dead on to me.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I thought it looked very much like the photo on the pattern envelope.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions I followed were very simple.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I have bought several Tilton patterns...both Marcy's and Katherine's...and I love them all!! They are easy to put together and individualize and they always look like great ready to wear. When I wear my "Tilton" clothes, I always get complements!
Fabric Used:I used a sort of spongy knit in a border print that I got in a bundle from Fabric Mart. It was a real bargain, and had lots of variation so I could cut individual pattern parts from different sections of the fabric to get a lot of different looks. It's not quite as drapey as I would have liked, but for the money, I love it!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I used the narrow neck band, folded it wrong sides together and sewed it on using my serger. I think the pattern instructions allowed for a more complicated procedure, but I knew this would work and would look good. I did the same thing on the pocket edging.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I will definitely make this again. It is incredibly comfortable and easy to put together. I spent more time planning and cutting than I did sewing. And I put it together in an afternoon and wore it that night!
Conclusion: If you've never tried one of the Tilton sister's patterns, you're really missing out!
