Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Um well, not exactly as I made a shirt dress out of it.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes! I use the burrito method of sewing the yoke. Hot Patterns has a video on how to do that. There is also a sew along on Grainline Studios blog. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love this pattern to bits! It fits me like RTW. The pattern goes together well, what else is there to say?!
Fabric Used:thick denim
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I graded the pattern out so that it drape over my hips more and lengthened it.I also made it a little wider in the shoulders too as I was going for this type of fit. I altered the armhole shape a little too. I could have taken out some of the length in the armholes but as said I was going for this type of fit. It's boxy, and probably not everyone's cup but it is so comfy to wear and works for me. I left the armholes unfinished and will let them fray.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Absolutely !!! There are lots of variations people have done with this pattern, it just seems very adaptable. This is my 4th version and I will make one more for sure a LS silk one.
Conclusion: I cannot say enough about the Grainline patterns. I also really have come to love a downloadable pattern. I can recut and change the pattern at a whim.
