|Pattern Description: Cropped side zip slim pants as a part of this misses sportswear pattern.|
Back of pant
Side of pant
Side zipper close up
Pattern Sizing: 8-18. I made the pant in a size 12 according to the finished hip measurement compared to my body measurement and tapered down to an 8 at the waist.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, it does.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, very easy. I made these pants in a total of about 3 hours, including the time to make the flat pattern fitting adjustments.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the cropped slim style of the pant, as well as the other views available to sew with this pattern.
It was a fast and easy pant to make, and a good style to make for one of my first pairs of pants (at least ones that turned out well and can be worn outside of the house!), besides pj pants and pants for kids. Only two pattern pieces, no pockets or waistband to have to deal with fitting, cutting and sewing.
Fabric Used: Cotton from the fashion bottomweight section at Joann Fabrics. I got it on sale for 50% off a yard and figured, why not!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Tapered in from the hip to the waist two sizes. After making the slim skirt from this pattern and knowing that the waist was too large on me, I felt it would be best to take the time and measure and make adjustments before cutting out and sewing the pant.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would sew it again! I might go down a size all over for an even more fitted "skinny" pant.
I highly recommend this pattern!
Conclusion: Cute pants that are fast and easy to sew and lends itself well to different fabrics and colors. This sportswear seperates pattern has already been well worth it's low price!
