All sorts of travel bags. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. The one pictured was made about 2 years ago and has been abused every day since it came off the sewing machine. I also put thinner straps on the one pictured (short on fabric? I can't remember why).
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Dislike - the tissue cover. I didn't make that one it seemed pretty lame
Like - Small tote bag - perfect lunch box Fabric Used:
For the small cosmetics bags I used 100% cotton batik fabrics (fat quarters) and some other cotton scraps. The tote bags I used some fabric from ikea (cotton something close to duck)
Would you sew it again?
Yes, I have made this pattern about a dozen times. Mostly the small bags for travel. Both tote bags at least twice. Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, the little bags are great and easy to pump out. There were two sizes of tote. The larger is the one you'd probably want to make, but the smaller makes a great lunchbox.
I like this tote bag much better because it can take daily abuse. I haven't found another pattern that has such a well constructed tote bag. The little bags are quick and easy to make. They make great gifts for those who are venturing out by plane.
