Pattern Description: Girls Cheerleader costumes complete with different styles of skirts and tops. From this set i made the skirt and top type E as a school costume for my 6 year old daughter.
Pattern Sizing: 2-6. I made size 4 for top and skirt.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow? They were easy to follow and the pattern came together well.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the style variety. There a lot of options to choose from. It was relatively easy to make.
Fabric Used: cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't used the braiding or ribbon as requested in the pattern instead i substituted it with a cotton biased binding for the stripes. Also the skirt waist was a little to big for her tiny waist. I had to take it in by an inch or two to fit.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I would definitely recommend this pattern and will most probably make it again. I four girls all of which will definitely want one.
Conclusion: I think it looks great and my daughter absolutely loves it despite not having the poms poms to go with it. It has a very authentic cheerleader feel to it. I also bought her a white long sleeve top underneath because she was wearing it winter. It makes a wonderful costume.
