Pattern Description: Gently flared wrap around skirt with ties at the front in a delightful bow with optional practical patch pockets.
Pattern Sizing:1-6 waist sizes 24" through 34" - I made a size 5.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Not really
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, very
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? An easy, cute pattern.
Fabric Used: quilting cotton, labeled 100% cotton sheeting on the bolt - from Hancock's.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: DDIL didn't want the front ties so I added to one tie and shortened the other to change the ties to the side and eliminated the pockets. I hand sewed the inside of the front waistband and the hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? No I won't sew it again since DDIL wanted a side tie with the wrap skirt, but I would recommend it. I like Tilly's patterns for the *younger than me* set.
Conclusion: With my changes this turns out to be a basic wrap skirt like most patterns out there, so it really doesn't look like Tilly's skirt. As I was laying out the pattern pieces, I realized that it pretty much becomes a bias cut skirt that hangs nicely so I hemmed the skirt by hand instead of machine.
