|Pattern Description: |
Lined dress with various sleeve and skirt options
AA I made size 10
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes and Im very happy with it.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
As always with Vogue patterns, it came up way too big. I ended up taking a couple of inches of the straps and the same off the hips for a nice fit. I love the ruffle on the hem of the dress. It looked lovely without it but the whole purpose of me choosing this dress was for the ruffle! It finished it off lovely, but would equally look as nice without.
Blue and white stripe poly cotton for the dress and to keep it cool for summer I used cotton muslin for the lining.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didnt see the point of underlining as well as lining especially as its just a summer dress, so I omitted all the underlining and just lined it. I also took 3 inches off the length of the skirt before adding the ruffle.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Absolutely yes! This pattern has so many options to choose from and straight forward to make.
