Pattern Description: This is a dress pattern with several options including a jumper style, straight or flared skirt.
Pattern Sizing: D5 4-12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes. dress front dress back
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It has the jumper option so that you can make one for winter or sleeveless for summer.
Fabric Used: brushed cotton denim in a rust color
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The way they say to do the side zipper under the arm makes it hard to pull the dress on. I put a hook and eye on the top instead of sewing the seam together for the last 2 inches.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes I will sew it again. It is quite easy and the style looks good on most people. Do the zipper with a hook and eye instead of sewing the seam at the armpit so that you can slip it on easier. Conclusion: This dress was made for my niece 4 years ago and she grew and couldn't get it over her shoulders. She asked me to change the zipper and I put it off because I could see it was too small. I got it out the other day and changed the zipper. When I was done I decided it was near my size, I recently lost weight, and tried it on. I wore it out to dinner for my 25th wedding anniversary! Moral: putting stuff off sometimes pays off;) lovers
