|Pattern Description: Women's Shirts & Hat: Women's pullover shirts and hat. View B has hemmed round neckline and side hemline slits.|
Pattern Sizing: 1X-4X - I made a 2X.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, very.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Despite measuring properly, the shirt was uncomfortably large. It does have a looser fit as shown on the envelope, but it seemed excessively large.
Fabric Used: Light to mid-weight polar fleece
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't like the hemline slits, so I took them out. The shirt turned out so large that I wound up serging off an inch on both sides from the cuff down to the bottom.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would sew it again. I am planning on trying it again in the near future. Up until this point, I hadn't made any garments that weren't on the thin pattern paper, so I cut out my size instead of tracing it. I have since re-purchased the pattern, and I will try it again in a 1X.
Conclusion: If you want a looser fitting shirt for layering, this could be the shirt for you. Living in the Pacific Northwest, I find that I layer clothing for a pretty good percentage of the year. This is an easy top to use for that purpose.
