Fitted dress with a lined bodice, back zipper closing. Back slit opening. Armhole and sleeve variations Pattern Sizing:
I cut out a size 10 top and size 12 bottom Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, very much so Were the instructions easy to follow?
Instructions were very easy to follow. It would be a good dress pattern for someone who is relatively new to sewing up dresses. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the shape of this dress, I think its very flattering. I liked the sleeve style. Its a good choice for work wear. Fabric Used:
I used a wool/lycra I bought from The Fabric Store in Surry Hills Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't make any alterations and the only 'change' I made was to hand sew down the armhole flange (I think thats what they are called!) to get it to lie flatter on the bodice. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I think I will sew this again and try it with sleeves - maybe 3/4 length sleeves. Conclusion:
Really love this style and I think it will get a lot of use for work
