Pattern Description: Misses dress in two lengths with sleeve variations and pockets.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes though I absent-mindedly removed the extra in the top of the pocket designed to set away from the skirt. At first I was upset but now that it is made, I think I'm happier with them the way they are--my middle doesn't need any expanding.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Liked the pockets and flared skirt though I expected more of an A-line vs. the flare at the bottom--don't care for that.
Fabric Used:2-3/4 yds of Cotton perhaps with some poly from my stash, lined with cotton batiste.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Shoulder and sway back adjustments
View C without sleeves
Topstitched princess seams, pockets, armholes, neckline
Narrow hem topstitched to match the rest
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I doubt that I will sew this again--I don't care for the trumpeting at the bottom of the skirt--would prefer a less obvious flare. I think I would prefer it with sleeves; without a waist it is not as flattering being sleeveless and the backs of my arms aren't what they used to be.
There is nothing wrong with the pattern so I would recommend it to others; I think it looks best on slimmer figures.
Conclusion: This will be a comfortable summer dress and I will wear it but have others I like better.
