A woven t-shirt with capped sleeves and scoop neck. Fitted at the shoulders, this top falls into a loose shape below the bust. Techniques involved include straight seams, bias binding, setting sleeves and basic hemming.
0-18. I made size 0 with no alterations
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes front side back
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I cannot praise the instructions enough! They are great, concise, super clear and help you achieve a result closer to RTW than home-made... close-up
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Nothing to dislike, except that I have a slight concern about the angle and placement of the shoulder seam as you can see on this picture. I will probably try to change it if I make this top again in the future.
Quilting cotton I bought years ago while visiting Philadelphia.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I highly recommend it. I've seen all these versions popping up made in knit and I just found the perfect knit in one of the stores of PétionVille (Haiti) while hanging out with Lakaribane (=trap to buy fabric). I think I will try to fix the shoulder seam and lengthen it a bit.
You can see more pictures and more details on my blog. What do you think about the shoulder issue ? I don't remeber seeing anyone reporting it, so maybe it's only me...
